Grace works closely with the firm’s founder, Kevin Donoghue Solicitor Advocate. Her paralegal role includes various tasks, such as taking and clarifying instructions from clients, drafting witness statements, obtaining and reviewing disclosure documents, and updating clients on progress. This careful, behind-the-scenes work makes sure that the essential building blocks of each case are prepared accurately and efficiently.

Grace is a valued part of our actions against the police legal team. As well as her support work with Kevin Donoghue, Miss Foster works closely with her colleagues Daniel Fitzsimmons, Director, Kemmi Alfa, Chartered Legal Executive, and Jack Hudson, CILEX Lawyer. She helps her more senior colleagues investigate and prepare their cases, from gathering evidence to managing the day-to-day progress of a claim.

Professional Accreditations and Memberships
Grace Foster is a paralegal who earned a 1st class LLB (Hons) law degree at Liverpool John Moores University.
While there, Grace was an active member of the university’s Law Society, taking part in mooting exercises and other activities. As part of her degree, she also volunteered with Support Through Court at Liverpool County Court, where she helped members of the public with money claims, non-molestation applications, witness statements, court applications, and claim forms.
Grace is committed to continuing her professional development. In September 2026 she will begin the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) at Liverpool John Moores University. The SQE is a master’s-level qualification studied over two years, which Grace will complete alongside her work at Donoghue Solicitors, to qualify as a solicitor.

Grace has built her legal career in and around Liverpool. She attended Hillside School and later completed her A-Levels at South Sefton Sixth Form College (Hugh Baird), studying English Literature, Politics, and Law. Miss Foster earned an A* in Law, an A in Politics, and a B in English Literature, before going on to read law at university.
Grace gained an unusually broad range of hands-on legal experience before joining Donoghue Solicitors. She has worked in Liverpool law firms since the age of 16 on actions against the police, crime, housing, corporate law and credit hire. This breadth of knowledge now helps her clients at Donoghue Solicitors, as actions against the police cases often overlap with other areas of law. It also helped Grace firm up her career path. She knew she wanted to work for people rather than companies, which led her to Donoghue Solicitors, where we represent only claimants, never insurers or police forces.
Grace has experienced a range of working cultures in her career. Now, at Donoghue Solicitors, she is settled and happy to be in a small, close-knit office culture where everyone is helpful and works together as a team.
Outside of work, Grace is a keen fan of rock music and loves going to concerts.
